![]() Honestly - as long as you are not nitpicking the game you probably will enjoy it. There's less variety in areas and monsters. ![]() I think they tried a little too hard to make them "unique" and in doing so made them a bit harder to identify with and relate to. Engineer better than Railmaster, Embermage better than Duskmage, etc. The classes I like less than T2, in all cases. Im not sure how viable they would all be, but in Railmaster alone I can see a lot more potential for variation over Engineer (still like Engineer better though - train thing is kinda weird.) And also unique builds that ignore the relics. I can think of unique builds with each of the Relics. I want to run another focused on the train, a gun, and ice later. Im running a Railmaster focused on hammer and the fire tree now. The result is one Railmaster can have the frost tree, another the fire, another the poison. Oh, also, the graphics are an improvement.Ĭontroversial opinion: The skill system I think is honestly better than T2 because one of the skill trees can be mixed and matched (called Relic). The fort and its upgrades are persistent, so I can gain some sense of progress over time even when losing characters. The fort system works well with my preferred style of play - permadeath. I don't think I'd call it an improgement over 2, though.Ī few things I think are improved are the controller support (for PC) and the fort system. ![]() I like the 3rd game quite a bit and think that it is worth getting.
